Short version: We do not sell your data. We do not require an account. Conversations may be stored to improve the app. Analytics are used to understand usage patterns.

1. Who We Are

Real Apologist is a Christian apologetics tool operated by BibleReal. We help Christians and seekers explore evidence-based answers to questions about faith, Scripture, and theology.

2. What We Collect

We collect the minimum necessary to operate the service:

Conversations: Questions you ask and responses generated may be stored to improve response quality and detect theological errors. We do not link these to your identity.
Language preference: The language you select is used to generate responses in that language.
Usage analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the app is used — which topics are asked, which languages are selected, session depth. This data is aggregated and anonymised.
Technical data: Your country (derived from IP address at the edge), approximate request timing, and device type may be logged for performance monitoring.

We do not collect: your name, email, phone number, or any account information. No login is required.

To generate AI responses to your questions
To detect and fix theological bias or errors in cached responses
To understand usage patterns and improve the app
To monitor performance and prevent abuse

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

4. AI-Generated Responses

Responses are generated by Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude. Your questions are sent to these third-party AI providers to generate answers. Their privacy policies apply to that processing:

5. Data Storage

Conversation data may be stored in Google Firestore (Google Cloud, US-Central region). Cached responses are stored in Cloudflare KV. Analytics data is processed by Google Analytics.

6. Cookies and Tracking

Google Analytics 4 uses cookies to track sessions. If you are in the European Union, you have the right to opt out. You can disable cookies in your browser settings or use a browser extension such as Google Analytics Opt-out.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

7. Your Rights (GDPR / EU Users)

If you are in the European Union or UK, you have the right to:

Request access to data held about you
Request deletion of your data
Object to processing
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@biblereal.com. Because we do not collect identifying information, we may not be able to locate specific records without additional context you provide.

8. Children

Real Apologist is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
